Demo

Here is the first half of my Quicksketch demo done @ the LA Zoo for my animal drawing workshop in October. I did these sketches @ the snow leopard cage as a demonstration for my students on how to draw from life when the subject is in constant movement.....what to look for in capturing a moving animal; a general quicksketch approach.

Ooo very fun demo.

What kind of marker is that? I think I was able to read Prismacolor but it looks like it has a flexible tip like a brush pen.

zoo drawing is the best, I need to get back over there. Thanks for sharing :]

Long time lurker of your blog. 1st time posting.

Love the videos. Always a treat to see a pro's approach. Animals are particularly tricky for me so they are valuable learning tools. Hope to see more soon.

I'll be moving to LA pretty soon, maybe I'll be able to take one of your workshops. Great stuff, very informative!

this is actually very helpful. I plan to go to the zoo agian one of those days and I always find it hard to draw animals because they move all the time.

Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks it was really interesting, because I've founded that I learn a lot if I see how an expert do the things that I wanna learn.

Thank you for posting that demo! One thing I always struggle with is capturing something in movement (especially animals, because we don't see them as often as people!), so this was really great to see.

Awesome video!! A tripod might be a great way to stop camera shake.
